Service Engineer Supervisor

The Field Service Engineer Supervisor position is ideal for those who are looking for a challenge and responsibility. 

Overseeing our small team of engineers, you need to be good at offering guidance, instructions and training while ensuring a good standard of work is produced and that deadlines are met. 

Main Duties Overview

Responsible for Instructing, Supervising & Training small team of engineers at Factory and on site.

Responsible for ensuring water systems are built to standard and within deadlines.

Install and Service work on site. Systems include Reverse Osmosis, De-ionisers,

Water Softeners, Filters, UV Filtration, associated chemicals and consumables and other

manufacturers’ equipment.

Assistance with Stores, Van Stocks, method statements and Risk Assessments

Assistance and some responsibilities re: Health and Safety Compliance

Working with Directors and Quality Manager to streamline current procedures.

Assistance with ISO 9001:2008 and other standards and regulations.

Completion of associated paperwork, reports etc.

Ad hoc Duties as required. This is a new position and will be adapted to suit business needs and candidate capability.

 

Person Specification

Fair and understanding nature, able to instruct and supervise.

The ability to explain ideas clearly, have excellent communication and reporting skills (both verbally and in writing).

Have strong decision-making skills with the ability to prioritise and plan effectively.

Work to high standards and have a strong attention to detail.

Able to work accurately in accordance to instructions, designs and specifications.

Quick learner, not afraid to ask questions and learn from experience.

Have excellent maths, science, technology and IT skills.

The ability to analyse complex problems logically and assess suitable, cost efficient solutions.

Have the ability to work well under pressure and in time dependent situations

Committed to ensuring the health and safety of themselves and others, and show an awareness of Health & Safety Regulations.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) including English, Maths & Science

City & Guilds (Or Equivalent) in Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical subjects.

Supervisory/Management skills.

 

Desired Training/Experience in:

CSCS/JIB UK-PMES Card or a valid “Pass” on the Health and Safety Exam

Water Purification methods & performance

Emergency First Aid at Work

Manual Handling

Working at Height

 

Salary exceeds National Minimum Wage and as such will be negotiated with the right candidate, dependent upon skills, experience and internal grading.
